The Celtic Manor Hotel is home of the 2010 Ryder Cup and the Celtic Manor Wales open. It has a world class golf academy and is the proud owner of some of the most luxury golf facilities in the UK. It has three magnificent golf courses: the Twenty Ten course, The Montgomerie and the Roman Road.
The Twenty Ten Course
This course has been purposely built for its role in the Ryder cup in 2010. It was opened in July 2007 and is the first golf course to be opened specifically for the Ryder cup Golf Tournament. This course has proved very popular for the professional golfers.
The Montgomerie
This course was designed by the Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie. Colin Montgomerie is the 8th time European winner and has put his own stamp on the layout and difficulty of the course. This course has a very traditional design with deep pot bunkers.
Roman Road
This course opened in 1995 and was the first of the resorts courses. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and named after the many Roman roads that can be found running through it. The Roman Road Course overlooks the Severn estuary and has views of Somerset and Devon.
