The London Borough of Ealing is located Northwest of Gatwick Airport a distance of around 50 miles a journey that would take around an hour by taxi via the M23 and M25. It borders the Boroughs of Hillingdon, Harrow, Brent, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow. It is situated in West London and forms part of Outer London, it has a population of 338,400 according to 2011 statistics.

Ealing is the 4th most ethnically diverse borough in the country in terms of numbers and over 100 languages are spoken, it is home large populations of Sikh and Polish inhabitants. Said to be one of the prettiest boroughs it has a number parks and open spaces, Parks such as Osterley and Gunnersbury Parks are ideal for long walks whist Gunnersbury Park and Walpole Park host sports and cultural events.

There are a number of heritage sites and historic buildings in the borough such as Pitshangar Manor and Gallery formerly the country home of Sir John Soane, the famous architect of the Bank of England. There are a number of markets to enjoy in the borough ranging from a Farmers market, Antiques and Crafts Market and Agricultural Market held in Southall Park.
