The London Borough of Hounslow is located West of London City airport a distance of 21 miles that would take around an hour by taxi via the A4. It is located in West London and has a population of 254,900 according to 2011 statistics.

The area was mainly woodlands prior to being made into a settlement by the first inhabitants and the road that was built by the Romans from London to Silchester goes through the centre of today's town. A group friars founded the Priory of Holy Trinity in Hounslow a year before the signing of the Magna Carta and aswell as being their first permanent home in England they built a hospice for travellers and the sick. The town prosperred during the 18th Century as it provided regular coach services to and from London, the milestones can still be seen along the Staines Road.

There is plenty to do in the borough for cultural and leisure activities such as Kew Bridge Steam Museum, The Great Conservatory, Syon Park, 5 Manor houses of Syon House, Osterley Park, Boston Manor, Chiswick House, Fullers Brewery Museum and Hounslow Urban Farm.
