The town of Haddenham is located Southwest of Heathrow airport a distance of 40 miles that would take around 50 minutes by taxi via the M25 and M40. It is situated in Buckinghamshire and has a population of 8,385 according to 2011 statistics.
The towns name is thought to have meant 'Home of the Hadding Tribe' from the times that the Anglo Saxons inhabited the area. It passed from the ownership of the Convent of St Andrew in Rochester to Henry VIII and eventually to Elizabeth I. It is known as one of the Wychert villages which refers to the buildings that were made using white clay mixed with straw and thatched with red clay tiles. /P>
The town has the charm of an english village with cottages and high street with village shops and cafes. It has been used as the backdrop for a number of TV programmes such as Jeeves and Wooster and Midsomer Murders. The surrounding areas of Buckinghamshire offer historic country estates, national trust properties and historic buildings.
