Nottingham is a city in South Yorkshire and is 68.5 miles from Humberside airport. This journey should take about 1 hour 30 minutes by taxi in normal traffic conditions. From Humberside airport a direct route to Nottingham would be the A15 and A46.

The city has a wide range of sporting facilities to choose from whether it is a day at the races at Nottingham Racecourse, watching Nottingham Forest Football club or White water rafting at the National Water sports centre. Nottingham Tennis centre is one of the largest of its kind in the country and features prestigious tournaments that are open to the public.

FM Arena Nottingham provides live music, comedy, Shows and sport events while the Royal Concert Hall Nottingham provides classical music entertainment. Famous Ice Skaters Torvill and Dean were born in Nottingham and many tourists enjoy practising their skating at the National Ice Centre, Situated in the city s fashionable Lace Market. The area has that name due to the remarkable heritage of Lace making that took place in Nottingham in the 19th century.

The University of Nottingham and its three campuses are all located very near to the city centre and offer a wide range of courses in vocational and academic subjects. Famous people that went to the university include Twentieth Century Novelist DH Lawrence and more recently the founder of JD Wetherspoons pubs Tim Martin.
