Transfer Olympics-LCY London City

The London 2012 Olympics will be taking place from the 27th of July till the 12 August. The Paralympic Games will be taking place from the 29th of August till the 9th of September 2012.

Building work began three months early with the start of construction of the Olympic Stadium in May 2008.

London plans to stage both the Olympics and Paralympics on the lower lea valley, near to Stratford in the east of the city. Although the games will be spread throughout various destinations the key venue for the event is located in 1500 acres of parkland. Once the games have finished the Olympic park will be transformed into urban parkland.
