As the second biggest city in Wales, Swansea cam to fame an a major exporter of coal and copper, during the industrail revolution. The Gower Panninsula that surrounds Swansea is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), with areas including Limestone cliffs, Salt Marshes and dunes, Sandy beaches and sandstone heaths. These attract many touists and walkers every year. The traditional local fare includes freask cockles and laverbread, with Lamb reared on the nearby salt marshes.
